Samuel Robert Baer

Samuel Robert Baer, 71, of Clarksville, Pa., died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, in his home, following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Baer was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson High School, and attended Waynesburg College.

Mr. Baer was employed with U.S. Steel Corporation, in Clairton, and Fairless Hills before retiring from a work injury.

On September 20, 1951, he married Phyllis Antil, who survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Linda Benyi and Jean Collins, both of Clarksville, Joan Baer of Casselberry, Fla., and Sharon Kay Sisler of Rices Landing; a granddaughter; six grandsons; a brother, Walter Baer Sr.; eight sisters, Betty Beatty and Leona Devecka, both of Clarksville, Eleanor Vuicich of Bennettsville, S.C., Gladys Kubasik of Levittown, Jean Mysza of Parma, Ohio, Shirley Coss of Waynesburg, Patty Snincak of Fort Mill, S.C., and Janet Foster of Dale City, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends of Sam Baer of Clarksville, who died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, will be received today from 2 to 9 p.m., in the Behm Funeral Homes, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, Supervisor, where services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, February 15, 2003.
