Carrie E. Herbert McDonald, age 95, of Elyria, Ohio, and formerly of Smock, Pa., died Friday, February 14, 2003 in Elyria Memorial Hospital. She was born October 6, 1907 in Vanderbilt, Pa., daughter of George Herbert and Blanche Johnson Herbert.

Carrie was a member of Vanderbilt United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Harry J. McDonald Sr., a daughter, Janet Fike, and parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Harry J. McDonald of Elyria, Ohio; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one sister, Mrs. Annabelle Lowther of Parma, Ohio; and one brother, Clyde Herbert and wife, Grace, of Vanderbilt, Pa.

Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, February 17, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. Keith McIlwain officiating.

Interment follows in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery, Vanderbilt R.D. 1, Pa.
