Adelia Birkinsha
Adelia (Dilly) Birkinsha, 93, of California, Pa., died Thursday, February 20, 2003. She was born Aug. 1, 1909, in California, Pa., daughter of the late Glenn Raymond Birkinsha and the late Jennie Tentler.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of California, California Historical Society, and the Center in the Woods.
She was a teacher in the Republican School.
Left to cherish her memory are Mary Paula Birkinsha and Glenda and Megan Birkinsha, with whom she made her home, Janet K. (Chickie) Hoffman and husband, Timmy and children, Stacy Adelia and Thomas Paul Hoffman of Belle Vernon, Natalie Bickford of Cleveland, Ohio, and Donna Dolan of Long Boat Key, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. Richard (Pauline) Wixon of Sister Bay, Wis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John, Glenn and Paul Birkinsha.
Friends will be received on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME, Anthony M. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth St., California, Pa., where services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Norman C. Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, California, Pa. Contributions may be made to the Historical Society of California, and the California First Presbyterian Church.
