Uniontown man charged with selling cocaine
CONNELLSVILLE – A Uniontown man is lodged in Fayette County Prison on charges he was selling crack cocaine outside local businesses in two unrelated incidents. Anthony J. Dressel, 18, of 20 Shellie St., faces a Feb. 27 preliminary hearing before District Justice Ronald Haggerty for the charges filed by state police.
According to the affidavit filed by police, Dressel sold .48 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant outside a Route 119 laundromat Nov. 4.
Police said the informant contacted Dressel by telephone and asked to purchase $100 of the drug. He later arrived at the location and turned over the cocaine to the informant, said police.
In the second incident, police said, Dressel responded to a telephone call Nov. 8 from an informant seeking to purchase crack cocaine. Police said Dressel gave .88 grams of cocaine to the informant in exchange for $95.
Dressel later was stopped by Connellsville police and allegedly was found with a small bag containing 7.4 grams of cocaine and $95, police said.
Dressel was charged with possession with intent to deliver, unlawful delivery and possession of a controlled substance in each case.
He was arraigned before Haggerty and lodged in Fayette County Prison after failing to post a $12,500 straight cash bond imposed in each case.
