Donald A. Dudley
Donald A. Dudley, 88, of Carmichaels, Pa., died Tuesday, February 25, 2003, in Mon Point Nursing Care, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born Sept. 14, 1914, in Monongalia County, W.Va., son of the late Charles A. and Nettie Leach Dudley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Mae Pysell; and a grandson, Thomas Eddy.
Donald was a retired coal miner from Nemacolin Mine.
He was a member of Fairdale Free Methodist Church, Carmichael Grange No. 1389, U.M.W.A., and the Carmichaels Senior Citizens.
On Jan. 19, 1934, he married Minnie Collands Dudley, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Donald G. Dudley of Novelty, Ohio; two daughters, Joan Westfall of Montana Mines, W.Va., and Lillian Jardin of Pleasanton, Calif.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter. He was the last of his immediate family.
Friends will be received in the PAUL M. LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Ave., Carmichaels, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Lloyd Sickles and the Rev. Robert Whoolery officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hills Cemetery, Morgantown, W.Va. Carmichaels Grange No. 1389 will hold services at 7 p.m., on Thursday evening.
