Hampton L. Teets

Hampton L. Teets, 83, of Uniontown, Pa., and formerly of Ohiopyle, Pa., was called Home to be with the Lord, his wife and loved ones on Monday, February 24, 2003. He was born Sept. 23, 1919, in Ohiopyle, son of the late Frank and Maggie Potter Teets.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys Leonard Teets, in August of 2000; two brothers, Emerson and Charles Teets; and a sister, Thelma Navoney.

Surviving are three children, Glenn Teets and wife, Cathy of Finleyville, Cathy Nedrow and husband, Bill of Uniontown, and Ruth Kelly and husband, Ray of Rockwood, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Trotta of Carlsbad, N.M., and Isabelle Miller of Monongalia.

Hampton was a member of the Hopwood Free Methodist Church and had been the caretaker of the Orville Eberly Estate for many years. He held membership in the Mt. Senior Action Group.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, on Friday from noon to 4 and 5 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, in the Hopwood Free Methodist Church at 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Peter Malik officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hampton Teets Memorial Fund.
