KING COAL YOUTH BASEBALL for children age 5 through 12 will hold registration at the Carmichaels Fire Hall, including girls’ softball for all ages and Pony League for ages 13 and 14. Times are 6 to 8 p.m. today; 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday; and 6 to 8 p.m. on March 6. Incorrect times were previously listed. UNIONTOWN SERVICE LEAGUE, 41 W. Main St., Uniontown, is continuing its half-price sale until March 8.
GREENE POMONA GRANGE will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Aleppo Grange. Cam Grim will give the program on the Que Creek mine rescue. A covered-dish luncheon will follow. In the event of inclement weather, check with subordinate grange master for changes.
AMVETS POST 103 Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the post home, Hopwood. The auxiliary will sponsor a blood drive for the American Red Cross on March 24 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the post home.
WEST PENN RETIREES will meet at noon Tuesday at the Golden Corral in Connellsville.
BROWNFIELD COMMUNITY CENTER, 291 Banning Road, Dawson, will hold a roast beef and roast pork dinner Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children age 12 and younger. For information, call 724-529-2930.
AMERICAN LEGION POST 51 AUXILIARY will hold an initiation for new members during the regular meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the post home.
CATHOLIC BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN, Queen of Peace Chapter, will meet Monday at the St. George Church for dinner at 5:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 7:15.
ST. GEORGE MARONITE CATHOLIC CHURCH, Uniontown, Ladies Guild, will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church social hall.
ASBURY UNITED METHODIST WOMEN will begin the Ash Wednesday Ecumenical Lenten luncheons at noon on Wednesday.
ST. PROCOPIUS CHURCH, New Salem, will hold a Mardi Gras Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. with serving of various sandwiches, and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to4 p.m. with a full ethnic menu. Games and a bake sale will be featured.
BELMONT MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS U.G.L.Y. will hold a spaghetti dinner Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. at the Uniontown Sons of Italy. Proceeds benefit the Multiple Sclerosis project.
OLD PETERSBURG-ADDISION HISTORICAL SOCIETY will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Marshall Augustine, 159 Tannery Lane, Addison.
UNION CHAPEL CHURCH will sponsor Hillbilly Memoirs Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Mountain Fellowship Center. Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded. Tickets are $3 for adults and $1 for children age 12 and younger. Proceeds benefit the Mountain fellowship Center Skating program.
