Lina Franks
Lina Franks, 101, a resident of Coville Personal Care Home, Masontown, Pa., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at 12:25 p.m., in Uniontown Hospital. She was born Feb. 16, 1902, in Saline, De Volterra, Italy, Paradisi.
Lina was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church, an honorary member of Christian Mothers and a member of Italian Ladies Circle.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Theresa; two granddaughters, Andrea and Linda and husband, Paul Shenal of McClellandtown, Pa.; two grandsons, Randolph Francini of Takoma Park, Md., and David and wife, Chaundel Franks of Upper St. Clair, Pa.; and three great-grandchildren, Theresa, Steven and Ryan. She is also survived by two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
Lina was predeceased by her parents; brothers and sisters; and two sons, Mario and Elmo.
Friends will be received today from 6 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at 9:45 a.m., in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in All Saints R.C. Church, Masontown, Pa., at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. James F. Bump as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Masontown, Pa. Donations may be made to All Saints R.C. Church, Masontown, Pa.
