Ronald W. Matthews
Ronald W. Matthews, age 63, of Scenery Hill, Pa., a Chemistry teacher for 41 years mostly at Trinity High School in Washington, Pa., 1957 graduate of Ellsworth High School, 1963 graduate of California State Teachers College (now California University of Pennsylvania), and in 1969 received a Masters Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at 6:46 a.m. in Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Linda Martin Matthews; children: Sherry Matthews DeBerardinis, Scenery Hill, Pa., and Ronald S. Matthews, Scott Township, Pa.; grandchildren: Kevin McIlvaine, Kelly McIlvaine, Louis DeBerardinis, Annina DeBerardinis, Olivia DeBerardinis and Alyssa Matthews; two brothers: Wayne F. Matthews, Columbus, Ohio, and Ray W. Matthews, Scenery Hill, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.
The Family will receive Friends in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Route 40, Beallsville, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, January 4, 2003 until the service at 11 a.m.
