Sarah J. Martin
Sarah Jane Martin, 90, of Leisenring, Pa., died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, in Highlands Hospital. She was born May 26, 1912, in Dunbar, Pa., the daughter of the late Nancy Humbert.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Louis Martin Sr., in 1982; a son, James Martin; two brothers; one sister; and one granddaughter.
She was a retired wear gauger for Anchor Hocking Glass of Connellsville, and a Methodist by faith. She was a member of the Daughters of America.
Surviving are a daughter, Patty L. Gordon and husband, Gerald (Jerry) of Missouri City, Texas; a son, Herbert Louis Martin Jr., of Florida; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar, Pa., on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Sunday from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jeffrey Popson officiating. Interment will be in Green Ridge Cemetery.
