Amy Ferland, a fifth-semester childcare education major at Laurel Business Institute, was named December student of the month by the faculty and administration of the school. Ferland, who will graduate in February 2003, maintains a cumulative 4.0 grade-point average , and has made the dean’s list every semester.
Valerie Bacharach, Laurel Business Institute Director of Education said of Ferland’s performance as a student, “Amy is a great student with a real talent for working with children. She is creative and very knowledgeable in her field. She exhibits all those qualities we look for in a candidate for student of the month. She is dependable, punctual, dedicated and focused.”
