Charles M. Bailey, age 100, of Hiller, Pa., died Friday, January 3, 2003 at his home. He was born February 21, 1902 in Vanderbilt, Pa., son of the late Ira D. and Anna R. Bailey.

He retired from Hillman Barge Company.

Charles was Manager of the Brownsville Merchants Baseball Team in the 1930’s and was a great baseball fan who attended many World Series Games.

He was also an avid Bowler in many leagues in Fayette County.

He loved hunting, especially deer hunting with his Father and later with his son, Keith.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice M. Bailey; two sons: Keith B. Bailey and wife Joanne, Hiller, Pa., and Donald S. Bailey and wife Wendy, Bridgeport, West Virginia; daughter, Lucinda and her husband William Smith, Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren: Charles W. Bailey and wife Joanne, Hiller, Pa., Keith B. Bailey, Hiller, Pa., Donald Bailey, Brownsville, Pa., Megan Bailey, West Virginia, Harold Perry Jr., Kathleen Perry Rohriz and Christopher Perry all of Cincinnati, Ohio; three great grandchildren; a sister, Faye B. Birkle, and two nieces, Sally Vance and Becky Patterson, all of Brownsville, Pa.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 6, at 11 a.m. with his Pastor, Danny Aber, officiating.

Interment follows in Redstone Cemetery.
