Someone pumped $18 in gasoline into a vehicle at Sweet Pea’s on Route 21 at 2:31 p.m. Tuesday and left without paying for it, state police said.

House burglarized
Someone entered the home of Jack Shaw, 42, of 226 Michael Drive through an unlocked door and stole a DVD player and a leather jacket at 5:20 a.m. Dec. 19, state police said.

Disturbance reported
State police said three people from the Connellsville area stood outside of a Painter Street home and yelled obscenities at Tabatha Steindl at 2 a.m. Thursday.

Juvenile in bar
City police said they responded to an anonymous report about a juvenile with a gun in the Oasis Bar at 3:49 p.m. Wednesday and found a 12-year-old boy with a BB gun in his pocket.
He told officers that he was shooting it earlier and left it in his pocket. He was taken to the police station and released to a family member, police said.

Robbery attempted
A white man with short blond hair, wearing a white ball cap, white sweatshirt and a shirt pulled up over his face demanded money several times from a clerk in the A-Plus at 55 Connellsville St. at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, but the clerk refused to comply, city police said.

Truck recovered
A red GMC pickup truck reported stolen from Pittsburgh was recovered from the rear of 38 Thomas St. at 1:36 p.m. Thursday, city police said.

Charges pending
Masontown police said charges are pending against a 17-year-old boy for allegedly stealing a 1999 Chevrolet owned by Robert Brown Sr. of Masontown. The vehicle was recovered in Brownsville, police said.

State police said someone broke into Marti’s Bar along Bute Road between 8 p.m. Dec. 24 and noon Dec. 26 and stole money from five video and vending machines owned by James Vending Co.

State police said a vehicle operated by William Foti of Greensburg crashed along a legislative route Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.

Report released
According to a statistical report released by the state police at Belle Vernon, the station investigated 111 criminal offenses and made 56 arrests in December. The report listed 666 traffic incidents that occurred during regular patrol, with 263 traffic citations, 44 accidents including 12 hit-and-run accidents and 22 DUIs. The report also listed three recovered vehicles.

Pedestrian struck
Brownsville police said a pedestrian, who they could not identify, suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Market Street in front of Eckerd Drug Store around 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

Police investigate
Connellsville police investigated the following recent incidents:
– Police charged Thomas Lizza Jr., 25, of 208 S. Prospect St. with disorderly conduct for allegedly shouting obscenities at several residents in the 100 block of North 11th Street.
– Police cited Joseph R. Davanzo, 34, of 314 N. Prospect St. for public drunkenness Dec. 29 after he allegedly was found intoxicated in the 300 block of North Prospect Street.
– Police cited Alberta R. Crosby, 42, of 533 Morrell Ave. Dec. 23, for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
– Police filed harassment, criminal mischief and criminal trespass charges against Billie Jo Wilson, 29, of 135 S. Meadow Lane on Dec. 23 after Wilson allegedly went to a Gibson Terrace residence and started an argument with the man who lived there. Police said Wilson damaged Christmas decorations belonging to the man.
– Police charged Merle Weimer, 46, of 314 N. Prospect St. with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and public drunkenness, and Barry Lee Giles, 45, of 603 Sherwood Circle with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after a disturbance at 314 Prospect St. on Dec. 28. Police said both men were treated at Highlands Hospital for broken noses.

Theft charged
Theft by deception charges were filed against Thomas Allen Drake, 43, of Martin for allegedly intercepting a package containing about $300 worth of items that was mailed to Russell Holland, 35,of Smithfield state police said.
The alleged theft occurred around 1 p.m. Dec. 12 outside of a Rose Lane home in Strickland Estates.

Someone caused about $2,000 in damages to a 1996 Ford Explorer owned by Daryl St. Clair of Central City between 4 and 8 a.m. Wednesday at 2533 Moyer Road, state police said.

William Elliot Scheller of Bierer Wood Acres was arrested for allegedly violating Cindy Lou Scheller’s protection from abuse order Dec. 28 at 57 Snyder Terrace in Bierer Wood Acres, state police said.

Chad Everett Martin of Uniontown was arrested around 9 p.m. Dec. 30 at the Exxon station on Route 119 on a bench warrant from Maryland, state police said.

City police cited Barbara Stutler, 34, of 19 Cycle Ave., Uniontown, for retail theft after a security guard at Midtown Foodland said he caught her stealing $9.07 worth of merchandise at 8:38 p.m. Thursday.

Jack Boone, 44, of 2 Collins Ave., Uniontown, told city police that someone driving a white mid-sized sedan struck the driver’s door on his car and fled at 45 N. Gallatin Ave. at 9:16 p.m. Thursday. His car suffered major damage, police said.

Charges pending
City police said charges of theft, receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief will be filed with juvenile probation in connection with a Dec. 27 incident in which two juveniles were found in possession of a stolen vehicle.
Also, city police said charges of harassment/stalking and following too closely to a vehicle will be filed against the driver of a Ford SUV who was stopped for following too closely to a police officer around 1:30 a.m. Dec. 26.

Brian Rupp told city police that his silver four-door 1990 Toyota Corolla was stolen from a West Main Street parking lot between 11:30 p.m. and 2:15 a.m. Saturday. Rupp’s vehicle has two missing hubcaps, police said.
