Helen M. Sowinski
Helen M. Sowinski, 90, of Prosperity, South Carolina, and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died on Friday, January 3, 2003 in Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina. She was born on July 5, 1912 in Oliver, Fayette County, Pa.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 139 West Fayette Street, Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 8, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, with Father Richard A. Portasik, O.F.M., as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.
The Parish Family Vigil Service by The Ministry of Consolation will be held Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
