Vincent Earl Whyel, 54, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Jan.uary1, 2003 in his home.

He was born February 8, 1948 in Uniontown, Pa., son of William Earl Whyel and Mary Frances Dillon Whyel.

Vincent graduated from St. John High School in Uniontown and also Gannon University, was a member of St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, and a Veteran of the United States Army who served in Vietnam.

Surviving are his loving son, Zachary Whyel of Concord, North Carolina; his sister, Margaret Whyel of Smithfield, Pa.; his brother, Mark Whyel and wife, Patricia, of Grindstone, Pa.; his former wife, Pamela Whyel of Concord, North Carolina; two nieces: Cheri Grubbs and Gretchen Grubbs Belan; a nephew, Matthew Whyel; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, January 6, until 9 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, (due to restoration of St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church), with Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

Parish Wake Service will be held today at 3 p.m.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
