Charles E. Hixon
Charles E. “Pete” Hixon, 62, of Hopwood Village, Hopwood, Pa., died Friday, January 3, 2003 in Select Specialty Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. He was born August 18, 1940 in German Township, Fayette County, Pa., son of Kenneth E. Hixon Sr. and Thelma Myers Hixon of Hopwood, Pa.
“Pete” was employed in the Maintenance Department of the Uniontown Hospital for 15 years.
He attended Faith Fellowship Church and also Faith Assembly of God Church in Uniontown.
“Pete” was predeceased by his father, Kenneth E. Hixon Sr., wife, Sandra Lee Philips Hixon, sister, Isabella Mildred Hixon, and niece, Wendy Jo Hixon.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma Myers Hixon; two brothers, Kenneth “Bill” Hixon Jr. and wife, Linda, and Lloyd W. Hixon and wife, Susan, and two nieces, Jennifer Hixon and Billie Jo Hixon, all of Smithfield, Pa.; one nephew, Chris Myers and his wife, Melissa, Leckrone, Pa.; and a close friend, Tina VanSickle.
The Family will receive Friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today, January 6, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Gerald Capan officiating.
Interment follows in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
