Dorothy Mansell Jeffries
Dorothy Mansell Jeffries, age 79, of Menallen Township, Fayette County, Pa., passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2003 in Bouras Personal Care Home. She was born November 18, 1923 in Waltersburg, Pa., daughter of Claudis Mansell and Dora Walters Mansell.
She was a member of the Christian Church in New Salem, Pa., Daughters of the American Revolution, and Ridge View Grange.
She was a retired Rural Postal Carrier for Uniontown, Pa., former employee of Westinghouse Electric and also G. C. Murphy Company, and graduated from Uniontown High School and also Office Training School.
Her husband, Thomas Benton Jeffries, died March 30, 2001. Also deceased are two sisters, Sara Tonalli and Helen Paul, three brothers, Merle, Ivan and Richard Mansell, and her parents.
Surviving are two sons: Thomas B. Jeffries Jr. and wife, Virginia, of Springfield, Ohio, and William M. Jeffries and wife, Cathy, of Menallen Township; a grandson, Blair Jeffries; a granddaughter, Misty Jeffries; a brother, Calvin Mansell and wife, Edith, of Waltersburg, Pa.; three sisters-in-law: Carol, Mary K. and Mary Mansell; several nephews and nieces.
Friends will be received in the JAMES D. BARNETT FUNERAL HOME, 196 West Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, January 7, from 10 a.m. until the Service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Andy Miles will officiate.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
