Trial begins Republic man faces trial
Wagner hears testimony
Fayette County Judge John F. Wagner Jr. began hearing testimony Monday in the forgery case lodged against Chad B. Dickson of Lake Lynn.
State police charged that Dickson, 28, cashed $36,251.61 in fake checks at three different Promistar Banks Oct. 5, 2001 and Nov. 21, 2001.
The banks were located in Markleysburg, Waynesburg and in the Giant Eagle in North Union Township. According to court records, Greene County prosecutors agreed to transfer the Waynesburg charge to Fayette so that all three cases could be prosecuted at the same time.
Testimony in that case will pick up this morning.
