ATVs tracked
While on patrol at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday, city police said they saw several people with ATVs in a side garage with the door open at Creative Cars on East Fayette Street. Police said tracks in the snow indicated they had been riding on the street. After none of the six males would claim ownership of one of the quads, officers ran its vehicle identification number and discovered it had been reported stolen to state police in Greensburg. The owner was contacted and told police that the vehicle had been turned over to his insurance company.

Hit-and-run reported
Andrea Raho of Uniontown told city police that the left rear door of her car was hit by an older model white or silver Lincoln on Delaware Avenue at 6:16 p.m. Monday.

Car crashes
Ashleigh White, 19, of Acme struck a culvert along Route 711, just north of the Rich Hill Road intersection at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, state police in Uniontown said. Her 16-year-old female passenger was transported to Frick Hospital with minor injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts.

Truck jack-knifes
Jerome Yokobosky of McClellandtown struck a Jersey barrier along eastbound Route 70, causing the truck he was driving to jack-knife, cross the roadway and hit a guardrail at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, state police in Belle Vernon said. He was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. The truck was towed.

Vehicle accident
Henry G. Syner, 21, and Patricia Ann Pierce, 57, were involve in an accident on Main Street near the Lemont Furnace Post Office on Monday, state police said. Both were wearing seatbelts and neither was injured.

Borough police received 180 requests for service and issued 25 traffic citations in December, according to Police Chief Richard Barron’s monthly report. The report also includes seven accidents, three residence checks, 13 criminal mischief incidents with three arrests, 14 theft reports with four arrests, nine disturbances, 22 traffic details, 12 escorts, five stolen vehicles with one arrest, two trespass complaints with two arrests, eight domestic incidents, one abandoned vehicle, nine juvenile complaints with two arrests, two hit-and-run accidents, 10 harassment complaints with four arrests, six alarms, one landlord-tenant dispute, one motorist assist, two retail thefts with one arrest, 10 assists to other agencies, four 911 hang-up calls, three parking or traffic complaints, three harassment by communication complaints, three suspicious person/vehicle reports, two suicide attempts, three custody disputes, one unauthorized use of a vehicle complaint, two animal complaints and 15 miscellaneous complaints. Total property reported lost or stolen was valued at $23,770 and recovered property was valued at $15,320.

Golf course damaged
State police said a woman drove a 1989 Mitsubishi vehicle on the lawn of the Pleasant Valley Golf Course and damaged the lawn Jan. 3 between 12 and 6 a.m.

Theft
Darren Michael Popvich, 37, of Uniontown told state police someone removed a nail gun from the roof of a wooden building under construction in the area of 172 Farmington-Ohiopyle Rd. sometime Dec. 23 between 6:15 and 6:45 p.m.

Garage entered
State police said someone removed padlocks from three storage units at a storage garage along Narrows Run Road between 6 p.m. Jan. 2 and 6 a.m. Jan. 3. Property was taken from inside the units. Police listed the victims as Jonah Dickman, 29, of Connellsville, John Lawrance Guynn, 51, of Dunbar and Darren Lee Provance, 36, of Dunbar.

Krienbrook Road accident
No one was injured when a sport utility vehicle slid into a bank along Krienbrook Road and rolled onto its roof on Jan. 3 at 1 p.m., according to state police. Police said Dax Fiore, 25, no address listed, was driving the vehicle and Erin Kruse, no age or address listed, was the passenger.

Two-car crash
State police said two cars collided on Connellsville Street in Dunbar Monday at 8:40 a.m. Police listed the drivers as Toby A. McKnight of Connellsville and James Seymour Rushton Jr., no address given. Police said no one was injured but McKnight’s car sustained minor damage and Rushton’s car received moderate damage.

Arson
The state police fire marshal division is investigating an arson that allegedly occurred Dec. 31 along Sugar Loaf Road and is sending evidence to various labs for analysis. Police listed the victim as Jay Robert Stickles of 1536 Sugar Loaf Rd., Confluence.

One-car crash
State police said Robin Honsaker, 33, no address listed, was driving along Smithfield-Masontown Road when her car traveled onto the berm and struck a tree, continued along the berm and struck another tree, causing major damage to the car on Jan. 1 around 1:41 a.m. Police said Honsaker suffered moderate injures and passenger Anthony Mehal, 33, no address listed, suffered major injuries.

Criminal mischief
State police said a known suspect allegedly threw a rock Sunday at 7:50 p.m., breaking the front glass door and causing damage to the interior door at 40 Mullan St. Police identified the victim as Sandy Ann Torbich and estimated the damage at about $200.

Snowball thrown
Marsha Jo Lewis told state police someone threw a snowball Sunday at 7:10 p.m. through a window on her front porch at 77 Snyder Terrace in Bierewood Acres.

Route 381 crash
State police said Emil P. Svercek, 54, of Mill Run was driving along Route 381 when his car left the road, ran up an embankment then went airborne for about 38 feet and hit another embankment head-on. Police said the car traveled another eight feet and came to rest against a garage Jan. 2 at 7:10 a.m. about 200 yards south of Kooser Road. Police said Svercek was transported to Highlands Hospital in Connellsville for treatment of moderate injuries. Police said the car received severe damage. Police said the property is owned by Peggy E. Shearer, 51, of Mill Run and that the garage sustained minor damage while the second embankment sustained extensive damage. Springfield Volunteer Fire Department assisted police on the scene.

Two-car accident
State police said a pick-up truck driven by Robert S. Cramer, 19, no address listed, and a car driven by Laurence M. Dowd, 33, no address listed, collided along County Line Road Saturday at 6:19 p.m. Police said Dowd and his passenger, Kelly Jo Dowd, 35, were transported to Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant for treatment of moderate injuries. Police said Cramer was not injured.

Woman struck
State police said a known suspect allegedly struck Janice Ann Spagnoli, 51, of Smithfield with a club or bat during a domestic dispute along South Mount Vernon Avenue on Dec. 30 around 11:38 p.m.

No one injured
State police said no one was injured Jan. 1 at 12:50 a.m. when an unknown vehicle crossed the center line of the roadway, causing a pick-up truck driven by Jason A. Reese, 22, no address listed, to travel off the roadway and hit a fence on the property of 608 Bear Rocks Rd. and then hit another fence on the property of 139 Bear Rocks Rd. Police listed Lorie A. Long, 16, no address given, as a passenger in the Reese vehicle.
