Amelia T. Kurta
Amelia T. Kurta, 85, of Merrittstown, Pa., formerly of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, in Beverly Health Care. She was born Nov. 14, 1917, in Continental No. 3, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Gonda Kurta.
Millie was formerly employed by Agies Lunch in Uniontown. She spent many hours of volunteer service at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church. Most recently, Millie lived with Shirley and Evan Davies of Merrittstown, Pa., and prior to that resided at the White Swan Apartments.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Kurta, John C. Kurta and Frank J. Kurta; and two sisters, Victoria Kurta Rollins and Helen Kurta Kuharik.
She is survived by two brothers, Andrew Kurta of Uniontown, and George Kurta of Elyria, Ohio; a sister, Elizabeth Kurta Zahradnik of Bethel Park; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, from 10 a.m. to noon, at which time a Blessing Service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 12:30 p.m., in St. Therese de Lisieux R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. Kenneth Zaccagnini V.F., as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
