Roger L. Bricker
Roger L. Bricker, 53, of Fairchance, Pa., died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, in Uniontown Hospital. He was born Feb. 25, 1949, in Fairchance, Pa., son of Mary Bartko Bricker of Fairchance, Pa., and the late Robert Bricker.
In addition to his father, Robert Bricker, he was predeceased by his sister, Donna Malin.
Roger was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Vietnam.
He was a member of the Fairchance Church of Worship, and a life member of the Alfred Wilson Memorial VFW Post 7219.
He was employed as a Security Guard with Laurel Security.
In addition to his mother, Mary Bartko Bricker, he is survived by his wife, Barb Byuse Bricker; four children, Katherine Conaway of Richeyville, Pa., Melissa Smith of Dunbar, Pa., Robert Bricker of Uniontown, Pa., and Roger Bricker Jr., of Uniontown, Pa.; six grandchildren; a brother, Aaron Bricker of Fairchance, Pa.; a sister, Carol Morgan of Fairchance; and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today until 1 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Mark Kephart officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Veterans’ Section, Fairchance, Pa., with military rites being accorded by Alfred Wilson VFW Post 7219, and AMVETS Post 103.
