Car crash
David Paul Adanitsch, no age or address given, was treated for a minor injury at Frick Hospital after a one-vehicle accident Wednesday at 5:25 a.m. on Route 381, state police said.

Accident reported
Matthew Wien, 23, was not injured when the vehicle he was driving struck a concrete barrier on Route 40 eastbound, about a quarter-mile west of Lick Hollow Park, at 12:53 p.m. Monday, state police said.

Borough police received 2,294 requests for service, made 45 criminal arrests, issued 135 summary citations, arrested 51 juveniles, issued 290 traffic citations, made eight DUI arrests, issued 451 parking meter tickets and 285 other parking tickets in 2002, according to Chief Richard Barron’s annual report. Property lost or stolen was valued at $100,974 and recovered property at $71,210.
The report also includes 55 hang-up calls to 911, 158 disturbances, 109 alarms, eight protection-from-abuse-order violations, 86 juvenile complaints, 13 warrant services, 39 motorist assists, 102 thefts, 203 escorts, six retail thefts, 13 burglaries.
Additionally, the police department reported 11 stolen vehicles, 51 animal complaints, 144 criminal mischief complaints, 52 accidents, 146 assists of other agencies, 104 suspicious people or activities reports, 125 domestic incidents, two counterfeit currency complaints, 84 harassment complaints, 114 parking/traffic complaints, four underage drinking incidents, seven assaults and 26 public drunkenness incidents.
Police also investigated 14 disorderly conduct incidents, 18 recovered property reports, 22 harassment by communications complaints, one firearm violation, 202 miscellaneous reports, 11 abandoned vehicles, two drug overdoses, three deaths, four hit-and-runs, one hit-and-run fatality, seven civil complaints, one theft by deception, two public service details, six mental health commitments, two bomb threats, 15 missing people, two bad check complaints, two liquor law violations, one sexual assault, eight drug violations, five attempted burglaries, 11 custody disputes, five unauthorized use of vehicle complaints, 11 neighbor disputes, 122 traffic details, one terroristic threats incident, one arson, 12 landlord/tenant disputes, 13 residential security checks, 16 trespass complaints, three fire reports.

False report investigated
A Daisytown man who told state police in Waynesburg that he was robbed of $150 at gunpoint by a known boy and an unidentified man at 8 p.m. Jan. 3 at the Clarksville Car Wash has since admitted that he was not robbed.
Instead, police said they learned through investigation that the 23-year-old Daisytown man gave the money to the 17-year-old juvenile from Richeyville to buy suspected drugs, but the juvenile and the unidentified adult kept the money for themselves. Police said the Daisytown man initially reported that he and the juvenile arrived at the car wash together, but the juvenile and the unidentified male robbed him at gunpoint then fled together. No charges have been filed, and the case remains under investigation.

Cindy Franks told city police that someone smashed the windshield on her car on a brick in the KFC lot Wednesday sometime after she parked there at noon.

Property recovered
City police said an East Highland Avenue resident found a black briefcase and a black gym bag while walking his dog at 8:48 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the identification in the bag indicated that it belongs to John Rupp of Bethel Park, and the briefcase contained checkbooks and business paper that apparently belong to JR’s Auto Sales of Morgantown Street.

Vehicles crash
State police said vehicles operated by Marchelle Gallegor of Belle Vernon and Chris Duncan of Johnson City, Tenn., crashed along Interstate 70 at exit 43 Thursday at 5 p.m. Gallegor sustained minor injuries, police said.

Man charged
State police said charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct were filed before District Justice William Pelkey against Christopher Hartley, 23, of Vestaburg after he allegedly pushed Heather Stasko, 19, of Daisytown at her 320 Pike Run residence Jan. 1 at 1:06 a.m.
