Art and Mary Wilson told city police Friday that someone broke into and stole items from a house at 103 Cleveland Ave. that they were watching for a relative.

A brown 1987 Ford Bronco, bearing Pennsylvania registration ECF-7235 and owned by Russell Edwin Brooks of Point Marion, was stolen from outside 213 Penn St. at 6:54 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

A red 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI owned by Louise Cottrell of 4720 Morgantown Road, Lake Lynn, was stolen from her garage Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, state police said.

Michael Perez of Connellsville was not injured in a one-vehicle accident along a state road at 8:46 p.m. Dec. 31, state police said.

Vehicle accident
Neither Gay Francine Abdauah, 40, of Connellsville nor Matthew David Thomas, 23, of Somerset was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 7:15 p.m. Thursday on County Line Road, state police said. Each driver had a passenger, and none was injured, police said.

Citation filed
State police filed a harassment citation against Daniel J. Grant of New Salem for allegedly striking Raymond E. Wilson of New Salem in the right eye at 11:30 p.m. Dec. 28 along Buffington Road.

Vehicle damaged
Someone damaged the dashboard of a vehicle owned by Franklin Stull, 55 of 5055 Morgantown Road at his residence Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, state police said.

Suspect sought
State police in Uniontown are asking for help in locating a woman suspected of passing counterfeit checks in Fayette County and many other parts of southwestern Pennsylvania.
The woman is described as white, in her early to mid-20s, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 inches tall and blondish-brown hair.
She allegedly passed counterfeit checks in Pittsburgh, Somerset County, Greensburg, Washington County, Butler Township, Clarion, New Castle and North Fayette, police said.
She has been using the fake checks at grocery stores, drug stores and department stores. The checks are written on accounts at Smithfield State Bank or PNC Bank branches in Somerset, Natrona Heights, Donegal or Charleroi.
The suspect writes a phony Pennsylvania OLN number on the checks to avoid showing identification, police said.
She has used many different names on the checks.
Anybody with information about the suspect is asked to call troopers Sandra Soliday or Scott Krofcheck at 724-439-7111.

Man charged
Peter Sefcheck, 21, of 323 Virginia Circle was arraigned before District Justice Michael Defino on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving and underage drinking after city police served a warrant during a traffic stop Friday.
Sefcheck was placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.

State police issued a warrant for the arrest of Terry S. Fowler, 32, of Dilliner for charges of simple assault and terroristic threats after he allegedly punched Susan Garber, 40, of Dilliner in the face during an argument and threatened to kill her at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

State police said someone drove a blue GMC Sierra owned by T. Bruce Detweiler of Hopwood into a wooded area located along Betty Knox Road and burned it around 7:50 a.m. Tuesday.

Man arrested
Anthony Lynn Gilchrist of Republic was arrested at 2 p.m. Thursday for defiant trespass after being told not to return to a residence at 86 Dunlap Creek Village, state police said.

Man charged
State police said Robert Andre Gephart Sr., 27, of Nemacolin was charged with terroristic threats, harassment, resisting arrest and two counts of simple assault/domestic violence after a 11:15 p.m. Dec. 31 incident at 824 Oershing Blvd., Nemacolin.
Police said Gephart allegedly struck and choked Nemacolin resident Tiffany Lynn Burnsworth, causing head wounds and arm and neck abrasions, before he repeatedly shook a 16-month-old boy. Gephart was arraigned before District Justice Lou Dayich and placed in the Greene County Jail in lieu of a $7,500 cash bond.

William R. Coughenour, 21, of Leisenring was charged with retail theft after Coughenour allegedly filled his vehicle with gas at Sheetz in Connellsville and then failed to pay Jan. 2, state police said.

Masontown police are investigating the theft of a red 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck owned by Richard Arvai of 514 N. Water St. The vehicle has a South Carolina license plate, police said.

Randolph Yoder, 32, of 12 Back Lane was charged with domestic violence, harassment and disorderly conduct after a domestic disturbance at Yoder’s residence at 4 a.m. Jan. 10, Masontown police said. He was arraigned before District Justice Michael Defino and placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $7,500 cash bond.

Neither Michael Wachinski II, 20, of McClellandtown nor his passenger, Christi Wolfgang, 21, of McClellandtown was injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday along a legislative route, state police said.

State police said Mary E. Muhly, 23, of Clarksville was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after police stopped her for driving in the wrong lane along a legislative route at Slope Street at 1:30 a.m. Thursday. Police said Muhly’s blood-alcohol content was .122 percent.

State police said Robert Allan Goodwin, 50, was arraigned on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and was placed in the Greene County Jail on a $10,000 bond after a 12:19 a.m. Jan. 1 traffic stop of Goodwin’s vehicle on Interstate 79.

State police said Beverly Jean Morrison, 44, of Mill Run was not injured Friday when her 1998 Dodge Caravan struck a guardrail off the west berm of Route 711, two miles south of Hawkins Hollow Road.

According to state police, Jason Christopher Devanney, no address listed, suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 8:21 a.m. Thursday along Route 40. Police said Devanney’s passenger, Sharon Lynn Hamm, and the other driver, John Henning, were not injured.
