Norma E. Langham
Norma Eleanor Langham of California, Pa., died Friday, January 10, 2003. She was born in California, Pa., at the corner of Wood and Kalluran streets in a brown shingle-and-stone one-floor house, the second house designed and built by her father, Alfred Langham, an architect-home builder.
Norma was a Professor Emeritus at California University of Pennsylvania Theatre Department, an educator in Creative Arts, Speaker, Actress, Singer, Poet, Composer, Playwright, Inventor, Producer, and Director.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of California, Pa., where she was an Elder and Choir member.
She was also a member of the International Platform Association, MENSA, Dramatist League, Center in the Woods, Theatre Association of Pennsylvania, California Community Choir, American Association of University Women (AAUW), Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), California University of Pennsylvania (CUP) Faculty Women, California (Pa.) Historical Society, Washington (Pa.) Historical Society, and Honoraries of both Alpha Psi Omega Sorority and Omicron Nu Sorority.
Her father, Alfred Langham, her mother, Edith Carter Langham, her brother, Warren Langham, and nephew, John Langham, preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are several cousins and numerous friends.
Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa., on Monday, January 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held in First Presbyterian Church of California, Pa., on Tuesday, January 14, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. J. W. Hormell officiating.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio, alongside her parents.
In lieu of flowers it is requested that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
