Dell Houston Hickle III
Dell Houston Hickle III, 66, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away suddenly Saturday, January 11, 2003 in his home. He was born June 8, 1936 in Fairchance, Pa., son of B. Ruth Victor Hickle and the late Dell H. Hickle Jr.
Dell was a member of New Salem Presbyterian Church, Brownsville Lodge No. 60 F. & A.M. where he served as Past Master, and also the Scottish Rite Valley of Uniontown.
He retired from teaching Mathematics in the Connellsville Area School District where he had over 36 years service.
Dell was a member of the PSEA, Collie Club of America, and Collie Club of Western Pennsylvania.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Harriette Swift Hickle; one son, Dell H. Hickle IV and his wife, Jamie, of Uniontown; three brothers: Ralph Hickle and his wife, Pat, of Vanderbilt, Pa., Terry Hickle and his wife, Gayla, of Vienna, West Virginia, and Tim Hickle and his wife, Lois, of Grindstone, Pa.; his mother-in-law, Myrtle Swift of Uniontown; brother-in-law, Tom Swift and his wife, Rita, of Clarksburg, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Cassie Farrelly and her husband, Gene, of Lock Haven, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.
Friends and Family are invited to a Memorial Service which will be held in New Salem Presbyterian Church, New Salem, on Tuesday, January 14, at 7 p.m. Elder Keith Vail will officiate.
