Margaret Babich
Margaret Honeycheck Babich, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, 87, of Jefferson Township, Fayette City, Pa., died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, in Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh.
She was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Brownsville, Pa., daughter of the late Simone and Mary Porocky Honeycheck.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church of Brownsville, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Babich on Dec. 3, 2001; three brothers, John, Joe and Andy Honeycheck; and one sister, Mary Callista.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandy Babich Gallo and husband, Joe of Newell, and Margaret Ann Babich Peters and husband, Ed of Jefferson Township; one brother, Steve Honeycheck of Texas; and two granddaughters, Jenifer Gallo and Megan Peters.
Friends will be received in the ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME, 334 Main St., Fayette City, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, until 9:15 a.m., when a blessing service will take place, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church of Brownsville, Pa., with the Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
