Barrett-Foutz
United in marriage were Julie Lee Foutz of Chalk Hill and John Michael Barrett III of Pittsburgh. The ceremony took place on Aug. 17 at Duquesne University Chapel, Pittsburgh. The Rev. Dale DeNinno officiated.
The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. James R. Foutz of Deer Lake Trail, Chalk Hill. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. John M. Barrett Jr. of Pittsburgh.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a chapel length organza gown with a sweetheart neckline and adorned with Austrian crystals. A pearl and crystal tiara held a cathedral-length veil of illusion.
Jaclyn Foutz, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lori Vance, sister of the bridegroom; Karen McCaffrey, cousin of the bride; Julie Trbovich and Kristen Griener. Callahan Abel was flower girl.
Ernest Jones was best man. Groomsmen were Michael Bosh, cousin of the bridegroom; Joseph Siegfried, Nicholas Pappas and Greg Simunick.
A reception was held at the South Hills Country Club.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Geibel High School and a 2000 graduate of Duquesne University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education. She is a K-3 special education teacher with the Carlynton School District.
The bridegroom is a 1991 graduate of Gateway High School and a 1995 graduate of the University of Delaware with a bachelor of arts degree. He earned a degree in main policy analysis and administration degree in 1999 from Duquesne University. He is employed as director of operations for the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.
The couple honeymooned at St. Lucia.
They are residing in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh.
