Donald E. Romesburg
Donald E. Romesburg, 82, of Etters, Pa., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, January 16, 2003 at his home with his family by his side. He was born January 9, 1921 in Uniontown Pa., the son of William F. Romesburg and Sarah Hileman Romesburg.
Donald was a 50-year member of Third Presbyterian Church, Laurel Lodge No. 651 F.&A.M., Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, Pittsburgh Consistory, Syria Shrine, and Wilkes Association.
He was a Veteran of World War II and retired in 1990 from Ricks Manufacturing and Supply after 49 years.
Four brothers, Wesley, Playford, Paul and Harry Romesburg, his twin sister, Dorothy Harding, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Wyke Romesburg; a daughter, Jane Bittner and husband, Rick, and two grandchildren, Jennifer Bittner and Jamie Bittner, all of Etters, Pa.; one sister, Ethel Zebley of Uniontown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where Friends will be received today from Noon to 2 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 20, at 11 a.m. in Third Presbyterian Church, 425 Union Street, Uniontown, Pa., with the Rev. William D. Rodahaver officiating.
Private interment in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa., where Uniontown V.F.W. Post 47 will conduct Military Honors.
