Stanley W. Grzywinski
Stanley W. Grzywinski, 82, of Walnut Avenue, Scottdale, Pa., a Veteran of the United States Army Signal Corps who served during World War II, participated in the invasion of Normandy with the Third Wave Detachment on the beach, attained the rank of Corporal while serving in France, and was born in Everson, Pa., died Friday evening, January 17, 2003 in H. C. Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, Pa. He is survived by is wife, Mary L. Krol Grzywinski, with whom he celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in June 2002; sons: Stanley M. Grzywinski, Thomas P. Grzywinski, and Joseph Grzywinski all of Scottdale; sisters: Stella Grzywinski Kotlar of Perryopolis, Pa., Frances Grzywinski Yanity and her husband, Michael Yanity, of Port View, Pa., Josephine Grzywinski Folton of Baltimore, Maryland, and Dorothy Grzywinski Wasco and husband, Frank Wasco, of Belle Vernon, Pa.; a brother, Victor F. Grzywinski of Everson; nieces and nephews.
Family will receive Friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, January 21, until the blessing at 9 a.m.
