Willard R. McCann
Willard R. McCann, 66, a resident of Uniontown, Pa., died at his residence on Monday, Jan. 20, 2003.
He was born in Smithfield, Pa., on April 28, 1936, son of the late Goldie McCann David.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry McCann.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Uniontown, Pa., and a member of the Petroleum and Auto Repair Association. He operated McCann’s Sunoco on Morgantown Street for 38 years.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his wife, Hazel Fields McCann; a daughter, Melissa McCann Bane (Missy) and husband, Jeffrey of Uniontown, Pa.; two grandchildren, Kevin and Kristen Bane; sisters, Sally Shanefelter of Montana, and Alice Yanick of Masontown, Pa.; and three brothers, Emil David of Uniontown, Pa., Melvin David of Smithfield, Pa., and Robert David of Arkansas.
Friends will be received in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 North Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 71 North Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, Pa., on Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Paul N. Frank Jr., officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date.
