Sister M. Bartholomew Duch
Sister M. Bartholomew Duch, a member of the Vincentian Sisters of Charity of North Hills, Pittsburgh, Pa., died at the age of 93 on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in the Motherhouse Infirmary, Pittsburgh, Pa. Sister was in the 77th year of her religious life.
Sister entered the Vincentian Sisters of Charity from St. Mary’s Parish, Brownsville, Pa. A graduate of Duquesne University, Sister Bartholomew taught in elementary schools for 62 years in the Dioceses of Pittsburgh, Greensburg, and Youngstown, Ohio. During this period, she also served as coordinator of the Sisters, with whom she resided for six years and Principal at St. John School in Connellsville, Pa., for five years and one year at St. Joseph School, Crestline, Ohio. Sister Bartholomew retired to the Motherhouse in 1990.
Sister is survived by nieces and nephews.
Friends were received in the Motherhouse on McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, from 1 to 8 p.m., and friends will be received today, in the Motherhouse, from 9 a.m. until 3:45, the hour of Mass.
