Jeffries-Romeo
A ceremony at New Salem Presbyterian Church on Sept. 7 united in marriage Lois James Romeo of Smock and Corbin H. Jeffries of Allison. The bride is the daughter of Lois Nagy of Buffington, New Salem, and the late Paul P. Nagy. The bridegroom is the son of Corbin J. Jeffries of Third Street, Waynesburg, and the late Nellie M. Jeffries.
The Rev. John K. Sharp heard the exchange of marriage vows.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Michael R. James. She wore an ivory satin gown with embellished bodice of Austrian crystals and pearls, split front skirt with appliqued underskirt and flowing to a cathedral-length train. A crown of Austrian crystals and pearls held an elbow-length veil.
Marisa A. Romeo, daughter of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cindy Evans, sister of the bridegroom; LuAnn Prah, cousin of the bride; Eva Cipriani, Nicole Gmiter and Nicole Cirpriani.
Mark Yothers, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Thomas Evans Jr., nephew of the bridegroom; Corbin J. Jeffries and Justin M. Jeffries, sons of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at the Grindstone Social hall.
The bride graduated from Uniontown Area High School and Fayette County Vocational-Technical School in the practical nursing program. She is a LPN at Uniontown Hospital.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Brownsville Area High School and is a technician with Sears, Charleston District.
The couple plan a cruise for spring.
They reside on Fourth Street, Allison.
