Amos F. Soforic, Sr.
Amos F. Soforic, Sr., 79, a long time resident of North Quarry Street, Mount Pleasant, Pa., died unexpectedly Monday morning, January 27, 2003 in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. He was a member of the Everson Polish American Club, Mt. Pleasant Fireman’s Club, Mt. Pleasant Legion and the Mt. Pleasant VFW. He was a retired shipper for U.S. Steel Irving Works with 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Patricia Wilkins Soforic; daughters Mary Beth Meader and her husband Ernie of Acme and Pamela J. Soforic of Acme; sons, Amos F. Soforic Jr. and wife Theresa (Kowalewski) of Scottdale and Steven C. Soforic of Scottdale; grandchildren, Patrick and Chrissy Wesolowski, Stephanie and Jessica Soforic, Tyler Meader, Lynn Cheplic and Russell Meader and Andrea Soforic; great grandchildren, Anjelica Bobeck and Hannah Cheplic; brother Robert Soforic and wife Joan of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Helen Karfelt and husband Frank of Mt. Pleasant and Agnes Palla and her husband Martin of Harrison City.
Friends will be received in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Pa. today from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 10 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.
