Main St., Uniontown, is holding a mid-winter clearance sale on women’s blouses, men’s and women’s sweater, 50 cents; stuffed animals, 25 cents to $1. Proceeds benefit local charities.

CARMICHAELS UNITED METHODIST WOMEN will hold a soup sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Carmichaels First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, West South Street. Carry-out orders will be available. Bring own containers. Soup is $2 a pint; $4 a quart, or dine in, soup, dessert and beverage, $3.50. PARISHIONERS OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 185 E. Main St., Uniontown, is holding its pirohi sale. Cost for potato and cheese or sauerkraut is $4.50 a dozen and includes the container. Orders may be placed until Thursday afternoon for Friday pick-up in the social hall at 201 E. Main St., Uniontown. Call 724-434-5355. Lunches will also be served in the social hall Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
