Frank Switkowitsch
Frank Switkowitsch, 90, a former resident of Scottdale, passed away Sunday morning, January 26, 2003 in Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. He served as a Seaman First Class with the U.S. Navy and was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal. He worked as a provisions salesman and in later years he resided at the Laurel Highlands Personal Care Home.
He is survived by a step-daughter Candice Worry and husband Dean of Youngwood; two sisters Rose Biemer of Biscayne Bay, Fla. (formerly of Queens, N.Y.) and Florence Cvitkovich of Scottdale and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or service. Final resting place will be in Scottdale Cemetery, next to his late wife. Arrangements were personalized by the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale, Pa.
