Helen O. Close Rosenberger, 84, of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, January 26, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born January 6, 1919 in Confluence, Pa., a daughter of the late Mary M. Crawford and John S. Close. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Scott, George and Samuel Close and a sister Millie Close.

Helen was a self-employed beautician in Adah for many years. She was a member of the Brethern Church, Union Chapel, Flat Rock Road, a life member and past matron of the Uniontown Chapter Eastern Star 263, a member of Margaret E. Caven Shrine 42 of the white Shrine of Jerusalem and A.A.R.P.

She is survived by her husband Lincoln J. Rosenberger; three children, Donna Chellini and husband Dan of N. Huntington, Pa., John Rosenberger and wife Elizabeth of Mt. Claire, W.Va., Betty Jane Orander and husband Richard of Raleigh, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Richard Orander, Jr., Robert L. Orander, Joseph Orander, Jeffrey S. Rosenberger, Timothy S. Rosenberger, Debra A. Martchek, Danny J. Chellini Jr.; great grandchildren Harlie K. Martchek and Danny J. Chellini III; brother Darl Close of Markleysburg; sister Mary Enos of Mechanicsburg and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME IN SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Ricardo Alicastro officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery. The Uniontown Chapter of Eastern Star 263 will conduct services this evening at 7:15 p.m., followed by White Shrine services at 7:30.
