John Shanto
John Shanto, 79, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died at 7:40 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Valley View Nursing Home, Berkeley Springs. Mr. Shanto was a graduate of Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels, Pa. He worked as a security guard at the National Museum in Washington, D.C.
Surviving are a son, John David Shanto of Ohio; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Shanto and Sue Shanto, both of Bethesda, Md.
Friends will be received in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, 300 South Vine St., (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa., on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of funeral services.
