Albert S. Lasner of Leith, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003. He was born Feb. 27, 1943, in Elizabeth, N.J., son of Hannah Nadel Lasner of Elizabeth, N.J., and the late Norman Lasner.

Al was the owner and operator of A & L Locksmith in Uniontown, for the past quarter of a century.

He was preceded in death, not only by his father, but also a devoted sister, Diane Lasner. His wife, Leona Padar Lasner passed away on June 17, 1999.

In addition to his mother, Hannah Nadel Lasner of Elizabeth, N.J., he is survived by Leona’s three daughters, Jacqueline Varecka of Union, N.J., Laura Chapman and her husband, Edward of Brockport, N.Y., and Colleen Conn and James Mullen of Uniontown; and grandchildren, Karen Varecka of Hoboken, N.J., Kendall Chapman stationed in Guantanamo Bay, and Lisa Varecka of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are Al’s special friends and extended family, DeWaine and Colleen Watson and their son, Jared, all of Uniontown.

At his request, there will be no viewing. Al will be taken to Elizabeth, N.J., where he will be buried with his father and sister. Local arrangements were handled by the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, where a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Bailey Park Baseball Boosters, 222 Braddock Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401.
