Pearl P. Palko
Pearl P. (Angelo) Palko, 81, of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born April 19, 1921, in Puritan, Pa., daughter of the late Sullivan Angelo and Carrie (Shipley) Angelo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Palko; a daughter, Janet Palko; three sisters, Ruth Hull, Iona Cutler and Florence Hill; and four brothers, Russell, Donald, Clyde and Ralph.
Mrs. Palko was a graduate of German Township High School, and was a member of Searights Social Club.
She is survived by a son, James Russell Lucas and his wife, Linda of Fairfax, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Joan) Shaffer of McClellandtown, Pa.; four grandchildren, James R. Lucas Jr., Joseph Shaffer Jr., Michele Lundberg and Janine Shaffer; a great-granddaughter, Alaina Shaffer; three brothers, Elroy Angelo of Fairchance, Pa., Sullivan Angelo of Masontown, Pa., and Jerry Angelo of Uniontown, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the H. DAVID MCELROY FUNERAL HOME, 803 Main St., McClellandtown, this evening from 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday until 11 a.m., the hour of service. Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown.
