Richard L. Cohen, 50, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, in Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Sept. 22, 1952, in Birmingham, Ala., the son of Joyce Levine Cohen Jacobson of Birmingham, Ala., and the late David William Cohen.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Jon Cohen.

He was a graduate of Mountain Brook High School in Birmingham, Ala., and graduated Magnum Cum Laude from California University of Pennsylvania.

Rich was an active member of Temple Israel and President of the Hebrew Cemetery Association. He was the owner of Rich Home Improvements and Quantum Funding Ltd.

Rich had a generous heart and a kind spirit. He was adored by his loving wife and son and loved by many.

Surviving are his wife, Theresa (Terri) Vinsick Cohen; a son, Joshua David Cohen at home; one sister, Lisa Cohen of Oakland, Calif.; and a brother, Jay E. Cohen of Birmingham, Ala.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, Pa., where friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., when services will be held, with Rabbi Sion David of Temple Israel officiating. Interment will follow in Hebrew Cemetery Association, Hopwood. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Temple Israel or the Hebrew Cemetery Association.
