Carla E. Still
Carla Elaine Crable Still, 53, of Katy, Texas, and formerly of Adah, Pa., slipped away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, in St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, in Houston, Texas.
Carla was born Oct. 22, 1949, in Adah, Pa., daughter of Frank Jones of Uniontown, and the late Odessa Butler Jones.
Before leaving Pennsylvania, she joined Mallory Chapel A.M.E. Church of Edenborn, Pa., where she became a dedicated born again Christian. After relocating in San Antonio, Texas, she became a steadfast member of The World of Pentecost Church, a member of the Choir, Women’s Groups, and other auxiliaries.
In addition to her father, Frank Jones, she is survived by her daughters, Shannon Still of Arlington, Va., and Kimberly Still and Christy Andrews and husband, Darryl, all of Katy, Texas; one grandson, Clarke Andrews, also of Katy, Texas; brothers, Dallas and Arthur Crable and their families of Monterey, Calif.; a treasured lifetime friend, Raymond Still of Austin, Texas; and cousins, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main St., Uniontown, Pa., on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, from 5 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. George W. Cooper officiating. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
