Ida Dodrill Shaffer
Ida M. Dodrill Shaffer, age 74, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday, June 27, 2003 in Uniontown Hospital. She was born March 12, 1929 in Hayes, Pa., daughter of Ernest and Velma Hoover Dodrill.
Mrs. Shaffer attended Great Bethel Baptist Church in Uniontown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Shaffer on April 21, 2003 and celebrated their 56th year anniversary on April 12, 2003. Also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Holland, and parents.
Surviving are a loving son, James F. Shaffer and wife, Tammy K., and two grandchildren, Jennifer Lyn Shaffer and James D. Shaffer, all of Uniontown. Her two loving grandchildren were the light of her life!
Also surviving are sisters: Marelda Derryberry of Uniontown, Pa., Ernestine Cook of Accident, Maryland, Zelda Bruzda of Tennessee, Dorothy Ozenick of California state, Carole Brookie of Uniontown, Pa., and Linda Wagner of Mount Morris, Pa.; brothers: Ernest Dodrill of Dunbar, Pa., Rodney Dodrill of Tennessee, and David Dodrill of Dover, Delaware; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today until 11 a.m. when Services will be held with Pastor Michael E. Hall officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
Visitation was also held Sunday, June 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, June 30, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
