July 2, 2003 Reunion to be held
The 61st annual Hart family reunion will be held Sunday, beginning with worship services at the Youghiogheny Western Baptist Christian Center, Uniontown.
Sunday school will be held at 9:45 a.m., followed by morning worship at 11:15. The guest preacher is the Rev. Beverly Richards, pastor of Beulah Tabernacle Baptist Church in Bronx, N.Y. She is the granddaughter of Pearl D. Tracy.
The park festivities will be held at Mon View Park, Greensboro, starting at 1 p.m. Families are asked to bring prepared food and beverages to share with others.
Dinner will be served at 2:30 p.m. Pictures will be taken after dinner and before skating and swimming. Games and recognition of family members will take place in the afternoon.
Descendants of the John R. and Pearley DeHart, formerly of York Run, are invited to attend.
This year’s host family is the Pearl Donovan Hart Tracy family from Lake Lynn.
Event planned
ROSCOE – The public is invited to explore 5-Town Park on Sunday for a day filled with music, food and activities.
Ken Vesely will provide music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to stroll the walking trails, play horseshoes and check out the park facilities. The concession stand will be open.
The park will be open until 10:30 p.m. It is located off Route 88 in Roscoe and is available for rentals and picnics.
