Donald E. Lubic Sr.
Donald E. Lubic Sr., 67, of West Newton, Pa., died at home Friday, July 4, 2003 surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted Husband, loving Dad, and a wonderful Grandfather! Born August 17, 1935 in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, Pa., he was the son of Michael Lubic and Minnie Hackimer Lubic.
“Don” was retired from USX Clairton Works.
He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
A brother, John, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 471/2 years, Helen Knight Lubic; a son, Donald Lubic and wife, Debbie, of Irwin, Pa., and their children, Jamin Lubic, Brianne Mahalic, Jacki Mahalic and Jake Mahalic; a daughter, Robin Lubic-Carmack and husband, Frank Carmack, of Abingdon, Virginia, and their children, Courtney Carmack and Alex Carmack; and a sister, Dorothy Mrenak of Weirton, West Virginia.
Friends will be received at the J. WILLIAM McCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., 901 Vine Street, West Newton, PA 15089 (724-872-6699) today and Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 8 p.m. with Rev. Thomas J. Crise, a close family friend, officiating.
Private interment will be held on Tuesday, July 8, in West Newton Cemetery.
