Recca J. Friend
Recca J. Hawkins Friend, 89, of Fairchance, Pa., died Friday, July 4, 2003 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born October 3, 1913 in Buckhannon, West Virginia, daughter of Basil Hawkins and Daisy Smith Hawkins.
Recca was formerly employed by Steve Lorenze at the former Old Mill Club in Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was predeceased by parents, sisters, brothers, and her grandson, Randall Scott Sutton, D.C.
Surviving are her children: Thelma Rinehart and her husband Jim, Greensburg, Pa., Thomas Friend and his wife Beverly, Shadyside, Ohio, Danny Friend and his wife Nancy, Bruceton Mils, West Virginia, and Shirley Sutton and her husband Nolan, Smithfield, Pa.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and loving and devoted friend, John Miller of Uniontown, Pa.
The Family will receive Friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today, July 7, until 1 p.m., the hour of Service with Rev. George W. McLaughlin officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
