Elizabeth “Betty” Sofranko
Elizabeth “Betty” Sofranko, 79, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at her residence. She was born April 8, 1924, in Old Frame, Pa., a daughter of Harry and Frances Dennis.
Her parents, beloved husband, Joseph Sofranko; four brothers, Robert, Lester, Althea and Raymond Dennis; and one sister, Katherine McDowell preceded her in death.
Betty was a homemaker, and a member of the Uniontown Church of the Brethren. She was also a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles FOE 3293 of Dunbar, Pa.
Left to cherish her memory are a son, William David and wife, Phyllis of Uniontown, Pa.; two grandchildren, Michelle David of Masontown, Pa., and Joseph David of Uniontown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and again on Saturday until 11 a.m., when a service will be held, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
