Rape arrest
James R. Lincoln, 41, of 87 S. Pennsylvania Ave. was arrested for allegedly raping and assaulting a woman at his home Wednesday evening. Uniontown police charged Lincoln with rape, aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.
Police responded to the home at 6:36 p.m. when the victim reported that Lincoln had raped and beat her. Police said she had a black eye, bruises on her arms, legs, chest, and complained of shoulder pain. She was transported to Uniontown Hospital for treatment.
District Justice Brenda Cavalcante arraigned Lincoln and committed him to the Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $20,000 percentage bond. A preliminary hearing is pending before District Justice Mark Blair.

Woman arrested
Heather Davis, 22, of 322 Evans St. was charged with simple assault and harassment following an incident at her home 4 a.m. Thursday. Uniontown police said she came upset and began throwing various items around the house and one of the objects struck her mother, Valerie Fitzgerald, in the forehead, causing a cut.

Man arrested
Frank H. Bowers of Normalville was charged with terroristic threats for allegedly threatening to kill Edward A. Pirl of Normalville at 7:18 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Brown Road in Normalville, state police in Uniontown said.

Gun stolen
A .38-caliber pistol was stolen from a vehicle owned by Ford W. Lowry, 25, of Dawson, sometime between June 23 and Tuesday, state police in Belle Vernon said. The exact time and location of the theft was not known.

Uniontown police said Teann Ebner reported the theft of $450 from her 397 E. Main St. apartment 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Burglary reported
State police said someone stole approximately $500 from the home of David Olinzock, 62, between June 16 and Sunday, state police said.

Theft from vehicle
A window on a vehicle owned by Charles G. Elardo, 59, was broken and a black leather purse containing about $100 in quarters was stolen at he Everson Valley Road home between 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, state police said.

Vehicles damaged
The windshield and a window on a van owned by Joyce King and a window on a pick up truck owned by William King were broken with rocks just before 2 a.m. Thursday at their Prospect Street residence in Smithfield, state police said.

Man cited
Michael Kevin Carr, 27, of Scottdale was cited for harassment following a confrontation with Lisa A. Hirak, 35, and a 15-year-old girl, both from Scottdale, in Terrace Acres at 9:10 a.m. Monday, state police said.

Accident investigated
State police investigated a July 2 accident on a township road. The drivers were Iimmie Moats of Grays Landing and Saivdah Muhammed of Masontown.

Vehicle accident
State police investigated an accident on a state road 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The drivers were Marko Demaske of Jefferson and Linda Meeks of Republic. Meeks had a minor injury.

Sheriff’s report
The sheriff’s office received 496 requests for service in June, according to Sheriff Gary D. Brownfield’s monthly report. The report includes 79complaints and summons, 35 landlord/tenant orders for possessions, 39, protection from abuse cases, 27 mortgage foreclosure complaints, 36 foreign writs of service, 11 personal property executions, one writ of possession, 245 gun permits processes, 12 real estate sales, 11 miscellaneous service requests, six bench warrants served, 40 prisoner transports, 168 hours of courthouse security, 168 hours of 911 center security, 48 hours of miscellaneous security and 60 hours of community relations.
The report also states that $15,485.32 was forwarded to the county and the county was not reimbursed for $10,185.60 in services.

Man caught
State police arrested Playford Michael Hart, 37, of Uniontown at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for an incident that occurred Saturday.
Hart is accused of setting a fire near the University Drive, North Union Township, home of 29-year-old Karen J. Fenton and the couple’s two children.
Hart allegedly ignited a trail of gasoline that he ran from Fenton’s vehicle to the back door of the residence.
Police said neither Fenton nor her children were injured.
Hart was arraigned before District Justice Robert Breakiron and was placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond.

Man assaulted
State police said Thomas McGee of Lemont Furnace was taken to Uniontown Hospital with injuries sustained during an altercation that occurred at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday in the Coolspring Athletic Club parking lot.
McGee told police an unidentified man driving a gray or silver Chevrolet Impala allegedly knocked him to the ground. The man and two other men, identified as Richard Coleman of Morgantown, W.Va., and Michael Jackson of West Virginia, kicked McGee while he was on the ground.
Coleman and Jackson were arraigned before District Justice Robert Breakiron and placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bond.

Truck damaged
Joseph Richardson Jr. of Fan Hollow Road told state police someone damaged his truck outside his residence around 2:15 a.m. Saturday.

Man sentenced
State police said Paul Long, 34, of Normalville was sentenced to three to six months in Fayette County Prison on July 10 for violating a protection from abuse order after having contact with Melissa Faidley, 30, of Connellsville at 405 Englishman Hill Road at 9:30 p.m. July 3.
South Union Twp.
Woman cited
State police said Nikia Burncheck, 42, of Uniontown was cited with criminal mischief after she allegedly pulled a shrub out of a landscaped area owned by RLSM Real Estate, causing about $50 in damage, at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
