Joe Rygle
Joe Rygle, 77, of Clarksville, Pa., died Saturday, July 12, 2003 of complications from a five-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was born October 26, 1925 in Brier Hill, Pa., son of Mary Zuchelkowsi Rygle and Hilior (Rygill) Rygle.
Joe was a Veteran of World War II who served in the Pacific Theatre as a Navy Gunners Mate aboard the Destroyer the U. S. S. CAPPS.
He retired from Gateway Coal Company in 1987 and was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 6330.
Joe was an avid Hunter and Fisherman who loved his Family and the outdoors!
His parents, a sister, Bessie Rygle Morich, and brothers, Stanley, Eddie and Frank Rygle, preceded him in death.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 51 years, Helen Votovich Rygle; daughter, Kathy Rygle, granddaughter, Anastasia “Annie” Rygle, and son-in-law, Steve Pedersen, all of Cheswick, Pa.; a sister, Irene Rygle Rollinson of Pitt Gas, Pa.; a brother, Carl Rygle of Cleveland, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the FRANK BURKUS FUNERAL HOME, 26 Mill Street, Millsboro, Pa., today and Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 15, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Miller officiating.
A Graveside Service and interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park where Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 705 of Centerville, Pa.
