Verna “Eva”Danko Dudash
Verna “Eva” Danko Dudash, age 91, of Youngsville, Pa., and formerly of Tower Hill 2, Pa., passed away Friday, July 11, 2003 in Youngsville. She was born September 19, 1911 in Waltersburg, Pa., a daughter of George Danko and Veronica Simko Danko.
Verna was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Republic, Pa., the Ladies Club of Tower Hill 2, and the Greek Catholic Union Lodge of the USA Lodge No. 57.
Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dudash in 1981, sisters, Mary Kanalis, Wilda Bohajak and Anna Johns, brothers, John, George, Steve, Joe and Nick Danko, and her parents.
Surviving are daughters: Betty Marusiak and her husband, Adam, with whom she made her home for the past seven years in Youngsville, Pa., and Katherine Stabilla and her husband, Charles, of Willowick, Ohio; a Grandson, Michael Stabilla and his wife, Sue, of Kent, Ohio; a step Great Grandson, Jacob; a Sister, Helen Sedon of Uniontown, Pa.; a brother, Michael Danko of Chicago, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Monday, July 14, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Republic, with Rev. Fr. Stephen Bugay as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
A Parish Wake Service will be held today at 5 p.m.
The Ladies Club of Tower Hill 2 will hold Services today at 5:30 p.m.
