Eva A. Dienes
Eva A. Dienes, 86, of New Salem, Pa., passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2003, in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown. She was born May 4, 1917, at Herbert, Pa., daughter of the late Anthony and Frances Wolfe Markel.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Dienes Sr.; a son, Andrew Dienes Jr.; a brother, Leo Markel; and five sisters, Frances Markel, Elizabeth Markel, Veronica Reuter, Martha Markel and Anna Dillow.
Eva was a member of Saint Thomas Roman Catholic Church of Footedale, and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
She is survived by one son, William Dienes and his wife, Lois of Silver Spring, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Betty Dienes of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Michael Dienes, Michelle Nichols and Tracie Cohee; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Dienes of Cleveland, Ohio.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., on Friday, July 18, 2003, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2003, in Saint Thomas R.C. Church, Footedale, Pa., with the Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions should be made to the St. Thomas Church Building Fund.
